Actress Susan Buckner of 'Grease' has died at 72
Susan Buckner who played Sandy's best friend Patty Simcox in the hit film has died at age 72.
Buckner was best known for playing peppy Rydell High School cheerleader Patty Simcox in the 1978 classic.
Susan Buckner, best known for playing peppy Rydell High School cheerleader Patty Simcox in the 1978 classic "Grease," has died at age 72.
Buckner died of leukemia on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2022, her sister, Linda, told TMZ.
In addition to her role in "Grease," Buckner also appeared in the films "The Other Side of the Mountain" (1975), "The Pom Pom Girls" (1976), and "Roller Boogie" (1979).
She also had guest roles on television shows such as "Happy Days," "Laverne & Shirley," and "CHiPs.
Buckner is survived by her husband, actor Robert J. Lantz, and their two children.
